General description

Goat polyclonal antibody supplied as lyophilized, undiluted serum. Recognizes rabbit γ-globulin.
Note: one unit is equivalent to one RIA tube.
One unit of goat anti-rabbit γ-globulin (GARGG) contains enough antibody to maximally precipitate the γ-globulin in 200 µl of 2% normal rabbit serum.
This Goat Anti-Rabbit γ-Globulin is validated for use in Immunoelectrophoresis, Radioimmunoassay for the detection of Rabbit γ-Globulin.

Application

Immunoelectrophoresis (see comments)

Radioimmunoassay (see comments)

Toxicity: Standard Handling (A)

Physical form

Undiluted serum.

Reconstitution

Reconstitute with 12.5 ml H₂O. Following reconstitution, aliquot and freeze (-20°C). Stock solutions are stable for up to 4 weeks at -20°C.

Other Notes

One unit of goat anti-rabbit γ-globulin (GARGG) contains enough antibody to maximally precipitate the γ-globulin in 200 µl of 2% normal rabbit serum. Characteristic precipitin line is observed with normal rabbit serum by immunoelectrophoresis. This antibody has also been reported to work for RIA. Variables associated with assay conditions will dictate the proper working dilution.
