General description

The BeadBlaster 24R Refrigerated Microtube Homogenizer completely lyses, grinds and homogenizes a broad variety of biological samples. A powerful, compressor based refrigeration system maintains chamber temperature and protects heat sensitive samples during homogenization. The stainless steel tube carrier subjects up to 24 samples to an optimized, high speed, 3D motion, producing high energy impacts between the samples and microbeads to release cellular contents. After processing samples can be centrifuged and the lysate removed with a pipette. Operating parameters are set and displayed digitally up to 50 homogenization profiles can be stored in memory. A mechanical lid lock prevents opening the lid while the BeadBlaster is in operation. A variety of bead materials and sizes are available for use with a wide range of sample types.
