Affinity isolated antibody is obtained from anti-human IgE antiserum by immunospecific purification which removes essentially all goat serum proteins, including immunoglobulins, which do not specifically bind to the ε-chain of human IgE. Anti-Human IgE is conjugated to alkaline phosphatase by protein cross linking with 0.2% glutaraldehyde. IgE is present in low levels compared to other immunoglobulin isotypes. It exists in two forms, one being a secreted by plasma cell and the other form is associated with the B cell receptor.
IgEs are glycoprotein antibodies that regulate immunological responses to allergies and infections. These immunoglobulins have been implicated in mediating Type I hypersensitivity reactions. Elevated IgE levels have been associated with hyper IgE syndrome and allergic asthma . Anti-Human IgE (epsilon-chain specific)-Alkaline Phosphatase antibody is specific for human IgE when tested against human IgA, IgG, IgM, Bence Jones κ and λ myeloma proteins.
Immunogen
Purified human IgE
Application
Anti-Human IgE (ε-chain specific)−Alkaline Phosphatase antibody produced in goat has been used in dot blot.
Anti-Human IgE (epsilon-chain specific)-Alkaline Phosphatase antibody is suitable for use in immunoblotting and ELISA (at 1:500 dilutions using 100μ/well).
IgE secreted from transfected murin myeloma cells was detected by ELISA using the alkaline phosphatase-conjugated goat anti-human IgE (epsilon specific) antibody.
Biochem/physiol Actions
IgE bound to B cell receptor mediates antigen uptake and regulates differentiation and proliferation of B cells.
Physical form
Solution in 0.05 M Tris, pH 8.0, containing 1% bovine serum albumin, 1 mM MgCl2, 15 mM sodium azide and 50% glycerol

Sensitization to allergens of the house dust mites Dermatophagoides pteronyssinnus and Blomia tropicalis is an important risk factor for asthma and allergic diseases. Allergen-specific immunotherapy is currently based on natural allergen extracts, however, in the last years recombinant allergens with

Salvage of cholinergic neurons in the brain through a blockade of the neurotoxic effects of amyloidbeta protein (Abeta) is one of the major, but still elusive, therapeutic goals of current research in Alzheimer's disease (AD). To date, no receptor has

It has long been recognized that muscarinic acetylcholine receptors (mAChRs) are crucial for the control of cognitive processes, and drugs that activate mAChRs are helpful in ameliorating cognitive deficits of Alzheimer's disease (AD). On the other hand, GABAergic transmission in
Peanut allergy is an IgE-mediated adverse reaction to a subset of proteins found in peanuts. Immunotherapy aims to desensitize allergic patients through repeated and escalating exposures for several months to years using extracts or flours. The complex mix of proteins
