General description

Tryptone Yeast extract agar plates are ready-to-use plates used to enumerate the total microbial count from water and other materials. It is a highly nutritive medium containing yeast extract and peptone as sources of nitrogen, vitamin B complex, and other growth nutrients. This medium does not contain any inhibitors or indicators and it is relatively rich in its nutrients.

Application

Tryptone Yeast extract Agar is suitable for the enumeration of heterotrophic microorganisms from water.
