Relaxin 1 may function in regulating blood pressure, controlling heart rate, and releasing oxytocin and vasopressin

Relaxin has been shown to have antifibrotic effects in renal fibroblasts through mechanisms that increase collagenase activity and via TGF-β signaling. [1]
