General description
La albúmina constituye hasta el 60 % de la proteína plasmática, que es producida por el hígado. Regula la presión osmótica coloidal. La albúmina interviene en el transporte, la distribución y el metabolismo de los ácidos grasos, las hormonas tiroideas y los fármacos. Reduce el aumento de peso, bloquea el edema pulmonar, reduce la ascitis y disminuye el edema tisular.
Application
Se ha utilizado el conjugado de albúmina−isotiocianato de fluoresceína:
- como control para comparar la eficacia de la distribución intracelular de proteínas con o sin portador
- para la visualización fluorescente de proteínas y células
- como bloqueante en el ELISA
- como producto químico para la perfusión y fijación cerebral
- para el experimento de permeabilidad del epitelio capilar in vivo
- para microscopia confocal de la vasculatura del ventrículo derecho en ratas

We would not expect there to be free FITC. The final product is dialyzed against distilled water using dialysis tubing with a molecular weight cutoff of 12,000 prior to it being lyophilized.
