General description

Forkhead box A1 (FOXA1), also known as hepatocyte nuclear factor 3 alpha(HNF3a), is a transcription factor expressed in normal breast ductal epithelium and other epithelium in different organs, such as lung, pancreas, bladder, prostate, and colon. It has been reported to co-express with ER in breast carcinoma, predominantly in luminal subtype A.[1][2] FOXA1 expression has been identified in 42% - 75% of invasive carcinoma of the breast.[1][2] Of the FOXA1-positive breast invasive carcinomas, 83% were comprised of ER+/PR+/Her2+ luminal A subtype.[1] The results indicate that anti-FOXA1 is useful in the sub-classification of breast carcinoma.

  1. Does the FOXA1 (2F83) antibody only react to human cells, or does it also react to mouse cells?

    1 respuesta
    1. Cell Marque IVD antibodies are only tested for use on human tissue in a clinical setting with immunohistochemistry only.
