Descripción general

Megakaryocyte-associated tyrosine-protein kinase (MATK), or alternatively CSK homologous kinase (CHK), Hematopoietic consensus tyrosine-lacking kinase, Protein kinase HYL, Tyrosine-protein kinase CTK, is an important kinase in hematopoietic signal transduction in blood cells as well as in other cells such as neurons and T cells. As its name would imply, MATK was first associated with megakaryocytes, the cells that give rise to platelets. MATK is able to phosphorylate and inactivate Src family kinases and may play a role in the regulation of proliferation of some cells such as T cells. In the nervous system MATK (called CHK in the older literature) plays a distinct role in the development of the CNS. MATK was found to be expressed in a developmental manner and expressed not only in developing neurons but also astrocytes and oligodendrocytes, but not in any of the associated tumors from these cell types, possibly indicating that it is the loss of expression of MATK activity that impacts tumorigenesis. EMD-Millipore’s Anti-MATK monoclonal antibody has been tested in western blot using K562 cell lysates and in flow cytometry using permeabilized K562 cells in culture.

Inmunógeno

Purified recombinant fragment of human MATK expressed in E. Coli.

Aplicación

Detect Megakaryocyte-associated tyrosine-protein kinase using this mouse monoclonal antibody, Anti-MATK Antibody, clone 9D7 validated for use in western blotting & Flow Cytometry.
Flow Cytometry Analysis: A 1:200-400 dilution from a representative lot detected MATK in K562 cells.

Optimal working dilutions must be determined by end user.

Calidad

Evaluated by Western Blotting in K562 cell lysate.

Western Blotting Analysis: A 1:500-2,000 dilution of this antibody detected MATK in K562 cell lysate.

Descripción de destino

~56 kDa observed. Uncharacterized bands may appear in some lysate(s).

Forma física

Antigen Affinity Purified
Purified mouse monoclonal liquid in PBS containing up to 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol.

Almacenamiento y estabilidad

Stable for 1 year at -20°C from date of receipt.
Handling Recommendations: Upon receipt and prior to removing the cap, centrifuge the vial and gently mix the solution. Aliquot into microcentrifuge tubes and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles, which may damage IgG and affect product performance.
Note: Variability in freezer temperatures below -20°C may cause glycerol containing solutions to become frozen during storage.
