Cell Line Description
This cell line has properties essential for study of metastasis of colon carcinomas; a reproducible pattern of metastatic behaviour and ability to be propagated both in vitro and in vivo to facilitate identification of biochemical correlates of metastasis.
Application
Metastasis studies
Culture Medium
DMEM + F10 (1:1) + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS) or 2% Rat Serum.
Subculture Routine
Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:3 to 1:5 i.e. seeding at 2-4x10,000 cells/cm2 using 0.25% trypsin/EDTA; 5% CO2; 37°C.
