General description
The kit contains a set of seven red color reference standards (identified sequentially from R1 TO R7) and a 1% hydrogen chloride solution in water. The solutions are produced from two primary metal salt solutions of ferric(III) chloride and cobalt(II) chloride, in accordance with chapter 2.2.2 ′Degree of colouration of liquids′ of the European Pharmacopoeia (Ph. Eur.).
Application
They are used as calibration and/or quality control standards to measure the degree of coloration of liquids in the brown-yellow-red color range.
