General description
ATP is a 100mM solution of the lithium salt (pH 7).
Application
ATP, lithium salt has been used as a component in:
- loading buffer
- in vitro transcription reaction mixture
- ligation mix
Biochem/physiol Actions
Adenosine triphosphate (ATP) is a central metabolite, which acts as an energy transfer molecule, a phosphate donor and a signaling molecule inside the cells. This extracellular signaling molecule also serves as a neurotransmitter in peripheral and central nervous systems. In the peripheral nervous system, ATP participates in chemical transmission.
