Gene Information

human ... TNRC6B(23112)

General description

TNRC6B (trinucleotide repeat containing 6B) is a argonaute-associated protein that localizes to cytoplasmic P bodies and is essential for control of miRNA-guided mRNA cleavage. TNRC6B is one of the mammalian homologs of the metazoan GW182 and is required for well-organized miRNA repression. Studies suggest that TNRC6B-mediated miRNA silencing is promoted by the C-terminal silencing domain.

Specificity

Antibody recognizes TNRC6B

Immunogen

Epitope: N-terminan domain of TNRC6B
KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to human TNRC6B.

Application

Anti-TNRC6B Antibody is a Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody for detection of TNRC6B also known as Trinucleotide repeat-containing gene 6B protein & has been validated in WB, ICC & IP.
Immunocytochemistry Analysis: 1:500 dilution from a representative lot detected TNRC6B in HeLa cells. (Zipprich, J., et al. (2009). RNA. 15:781–793.)
