Specificity

Recognizes human Fatty Acid Amide Hydrolase (FAAH). The immunogen shows no significant sequence homology with other hydrolases

SPECIES REACTIVITIES: The immunogen peptide is 100% conserved in rat, 94% in mouse and porcine and 58% in chicken. Reactivity with other species has not been confirmed.

Immunogen

A 17 amino acid peptide sequence near the N-terminus of human FAAH (Patricelli et al. 1998; Maccarone et al. 1998; Cravatt et al. 1996; Giang et al. 1997; Thomas et al. 1997; Wan et al. 1998).

Application

This Anti-Fatty Acid Amide Hydrolase Antibody is validated for use in ELISA, WB for the detection of Fatty Acid Amide Hydrolase.
Western blot: 1-10 μg/mL using ECL.

ELISA: 1:10,000-1:100,000 using 50-100 ng control peptide (Catalog Number AG376) per well.

Optimal working dilutions must be determined by the end user.

Physical form

Affinity purified immunoglobulin. Liquid in 100 mM Tris, pH 7.5, containing 0.2% BSA and 0.05% sodium azide.
