General description

Immunoaffinity purified rabbit polyclonal antibody. Recognizes the ~55 kDa Bα(PR55α) regulatory subunit of PP2A.

Immunogen

Mammalian
a synthetic peptide (FSQVKGAVDDDVAE) corresponding to amino acids of the mammalian PP2A/Bα regulatory subunit, conjugated to KLH

Application

Immunoblotting (1:500, see comments, see application references)

Immunocytochemistry (1:500)

Warning

Toxicity: Standard Handling (A)

Physical form

In 10 mM Tris-HCl, 3 mM glycine, pH 7.5.

Reconstitution

Following initial thaw, aliquot and freeze (-70°C).

Other Notes

Reactive with PR55α from most mammalian species, including human, rat, and mouse. Exhibits some cross-reactivity to crude skeletal muscle extracts. Antibody is not recommended for immunoblotting of crude skeletal muscle extracts because of high nonspecific labeling. Variables associated with assay conditions will dictate the proper working dilution.
