General description

Hand-operated or motor-driven grinders for resuspending pellets or disrupting soft tissue in microcentrifuge tubes. Pestle ends are specially designed to mate with 0.5 mL or 1.5 mL microtubes. Shaft is convenient length and diameter for gentle manual back-and-forth rotation or more vigorous motorized operation.
Z359955 will fit the cordless motor product Z359971 only by using the replacement adapter Z359998 for the motor, which is purchased separately.

  1. On your website, there are different references for Pellet Pestles. Which one of the product numbers Z359971, Z359963, Z359955, Z359998 corresponds to the pellet pestles? Can you explain the difference between these product numbers?

    1. The Pellet pestles Cordless motor is available under the product code Z359971. It can be used with various accessories. One of the accessories is the Z359947, which are long blue polypropylene tips that fit 1.5 mL microtubes. However, please note that this product has been discontinued. For a possible alternative, refer to the article "Compatibility of Kimble pestle motor Z359971 with disposable pestles from BelArt". Another accessory is the Z359963, which is a CTFE/stainless steel tip that is reusable and autoclavable. It fits 1.5 mL microcentrifuge tubes. Additionally, there is the Z359955, which is a CTFE/stainless steel tip that is also reusable and autoclavable. This tip is designed to fit 0.5 mL microcentrifuge tubes.     1. The product is the cordless motor only. Pestles are sold separately. Product Z359955 fits the 0.5mL tubes and Z359963 fits the 1.5 mL tubes. See the link below to review the entire group of products:
