General description

Anti-LAMA4 Antibody detects endogenous levels of total LAMA4 protein.
Laminin-A4 (LAMA4) is a protein that is expressed at high levels in vivo in clusters of hypertrophic chondrocytes. It is located on human chromosome 6q21.

Immunogen

The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human LAMA4.

Immunogen Range: 481-530

Application

Anti-LAMA4 antibody has been used in western blotting, immunohistochemistry and immunocytochemistry.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Laminin-A4 (LAMA4) decreases the amount of cellular protrusions in cultured human chondrocytes. It participates in migration, proliferation and survival of several cells. LAMA4 induces invasion, migration and angiogenesis of trophoblast cell.

Laminin-α4 (LAMA4) is an extracellular matrix protein implicated in the regulation of adipocyte differentiation and function. Prior research describes a role for LAMA4 in modulating adipocyte thermogenesis and uncoupling protein-1 (UCP1) expression in white adipose; however, the mechanisms involved are
