General description

IPAK Gard® 10-15 pretreatment pack provides optimal protection of the reverse osmosis (RO) membrane, improving your system′s performance and extending its lifetime.
For use with Milli-Q® IQ 7010, Milli-Q® IQ 7015, Milli-Q® IX 7010 and Milli-Q® IX 7015 water purification systems.

Application

This pretreatment pack protects the RO membrane by efficiently removing water contaminants such as free chlorine, colloids, particles and minerals.

  1. How to dispose of a spent cartridge?

    1. IPAK Gard® Pretreatment Pack is not classified in Europe as a hazardous substance in regards to the substance definition in Article 3 of the Regulation (EC) 1907/2006 of 18 December 2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemical (REACH) and in regards to the hazardous substance and mixtures classification criteria from the Annex I of the Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 of 16 December 2008 on classification, labeling and packaging of substance and mixtures.
      Therefore, this Purification Cartridge do not require in Europe any Safety Data Sheet (SDS) to be in accordance with the Regulation (EC) 1907/2006 and the Regulation (EC) 1272/2008.

      IPAK Gard® Pretreatment Pack do not require a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) under the Occupational Health and Safety Administration Standard entitled “Hazard Communication” 29 CFR 1910.1200 for the United States of America.
      IPAK Gard® Pretreatment Pack do not meet the criteria of a W.H.M.I.S. classification of a controlled product. As a result, a W.H.M.I.S. Material Safety Data Sheet is not required in Canada for this product.

      Disposable of wastes should be in accordance with applicable regional, national, and local laws and regulations.

  2. What are the storage conditions for this product?

    1. Recommended storage conditions: temperatures from 5 to 30°C; humidity between 10 and 80%. The original sealed bag (if provided) must be kept intact before the first use to protect the purification element from foreign matter.

For high-flow systems, please keep in mind that all consumable changes must be approved by a 3-digit code that only the person in charge of the system knows.

It's possible to place only one consumable order per year with a specific contract called "Consumable Supply Agreement (CSA)" (https://www.sigmaaldrich.com/US/en/products/water-purification/milli-q-consumables#csa).   7. Can consumables be opened and refilled?

    1. Unfortunately, this is not possible because of safety issues and the need to guarantee the quality of consumables and their interior purification components. Our consumables are manufactured in an ISO 9001-certified facility France in agreement with high quality standards.

  10. How frequently do the various consumables need to be changed?

    1. The frequency that consumables must be changed depends on the system's usage (treated water volume) and on the consumables themselves (time of usage). In order to ensure the quality of water and your results, the consumables should be replaced when the system alerts you.
