General description

Cluster of differentiation 24 (CD24) is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol-linked cell surface ligand for P-selectin. It is also expressed in the central nervous system. CD24 is located on human chromosome 6q21.

CD24 also participates in self-renewal, proliferation and differentiation.
