Descripción

General description

Reacts with nitric oxide at pH 7.4, resulting in the generation of NO₂^-/NO₃^- with a rate constant of 1 x 10⁴ M^-1sec^-1. Prevents SIN-1 induced endothelial cell death. Reported to have potent therapeutic value in endotoxin shock through its nitric oxide scavenging action.
