General description

Growth Hormone (GH) is a 23 kDa circulating pituitary hormone, Rat GH shares approximately 97% homology with mouse GH and 65% homology with human GH in its protein sequence. The main target of action for growth hormone is the central nervous system. In animal models, this hormone exerts neuroprotective effects against neurodegenerative stimuli and prevents neural loss on hypoxic-ischaemic damage. Thus, a reduced level of growth hormone with aging affects brain function and leads to memory and cognitive impairments. This Rat/Mouse Growth Hormone ELISA is used to measure & quantify Growth Hormone levels in Metabolism & Endocrine & Cell Signaling research.

Application

Rat/Mouse Growth Hormone ELISA has been used to measure or quantify growth hormone levels in mice blood samples, xenograft model, and plasma samples.
