Description générale

protein G Mag Sepharose Xtra magnetic beads are designed for rapid, small-scale purification and screening of monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies from serum and cell supernatants. The high capacity, > 27 mg human IgG /mL medium allow for the efficient capture of the antibody with high yield and purity. Approximately 350 μg purified human IgG can be obtained from each purification run.

Application

Protein G Mag Sepharose Xtra magnetic beads combine proven affinity chromatography methods with the magnetic bead platform to improve simplification and ease-of-use in sample preparation. Mag Sepharose beads are dense, black and visible, and this makes them simple to handle. Less smearing effects and aggregate formations of the magnetic beads mean that no detergents are needed in the buffers.

Together with MagRack 6, a separation tool for handling the beads in microcentrifuge tubes, up to six samples can be processed in parallel. You can easily screen a larger number of samples in parallel with high throughput on a robotic device. Protein G Mag Sepharose Xtra is available in a 2 × 1 mL pack for 20 purifications and in a 5 × 1 mL pack for 50 purifications. The product is based on Sepharose medium with magnetite incorporated and the ligand is native Protein G. Protein G has high affinity for the Fc region of IgG antibody from a variety of species.
