General description

SICAPENT® avec indicateur est un agent de séchage à base de pentoxyde de phosphore pour dessiccateurs. Il est également utilisé pour le séchage des liquides et le remplissage des tubes de séchage, en particulier pour les gaz à haut débit dans les tubes de séchage.

Features and Benefits

Le principal avantage des agents de séchage en granules est leur facilité d'utilisation. Même après une absorption significative d'eau (environ 100 % de son propre poids), la substance demeure sous forme de particules. Ainsi, après séchage, l'agent peut être facilement retiré de la cuve. Les agents de séchage SICAPENT® sèchent bien grâce à leur vaste surface ; ils sèchent environ 20 % plus rapidement que le pentoxyde de phosphore standard.

    1. While the majority of this material (75%) is phosphorus pentoxide, Sicapent is treated with an inert carrier to ensure that the product is free-flowing. This results in a bulk density of 0.3 g/cm3, and the item is sold by volume. The 500 mL package size will contain approximately 150 grams of material, and the 2.8 L package size will contain approximately 840 grams of material.

  2. How can I determine the shelf life / expiration / retest date of this product?

    1. If this product has an expiration or retest date, it will be shown on the Certificate of Analysis (COA, CofA). If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.
      For all products, we recommend handling per defined conditions as printed in our product literature and website product descriptions. We recommend that products should be routinely inspected by customers to ensure they perform as expected.
      For products without retest or expiration dates, our standard warranty of 1 year from the date of shipment is applicable.

  3. How is shipping temperature determined? And how is it related to the product storage temperature?

    1. Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature.
