General description

36 kDa

Type 2 protein serine/threonine phosphatase (PP2A) is a trimer composed of a catalytic C subunit and two regulatory (A and B) subunits; many isoforms for the A and B subunits have been found. α PP2A is distinguishable from PP2B/Calcineurin and PP2C by its partial activity in the absence of divalent cations, and by its high sensitivity to inhibition by okadaic acid. It is also thought to be the principal downmodulator of serine/threonine kinase cascades. PP2B requires Ca2+/calmodulin for activity, and is an activator of NFAT transcription factors. PP2C requires Mg2+, but is insensitive to okadaic acid, microcystin LR, or the calmodulin inhibitor trifluoperazine.

A 16 residue synthetic peptide (C-RGEPHVTRRTPDYFL) corresponding to amino acids 295-309 of the 36 kDa catalytic subunit of human protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A). Clone 1D6.

Témoin positif (antigène) : Référence 12-301, lysat de cellules A431 non stimulées. Ajouter 2,5 µl de 2-mercaptoéthanol pour 100 µl de lysat et réduire la préparation en la portant à ébullition pendant 5 minutes. Appliquer 20 µg de lysat réduit par piste pour une analyse sur minigel.
