General description
Endostatin is an endogenous glycoprotein derived from the C-terminal portion of the α1 chain of type XVIII collagen. [1] It is encoded by the gene mapped to human chromosome 21q22.3. Recombinant human Endostatin protein consists of 184 amino acid residues. It is expressed in various organs with the highest levels in liver, lung, and kidney. [2][3]
