If this product has an expiration or retest date, it will be shown on the Certificate of Analysis (COA, CofA). If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.
For all products, we recommend handling per defined conditions as printed in our product literature and website product descriptions. We recommend that products should be routinely inspected by customers to ensure they perform as expected.
For products without retest or expiration dates, our standard warranty of 1 year from the date of shipment is applicable.

General description
Application
- LncRNA ZEB1-AS1 inhibits renal fibrosis in diabetic nephropathy by regulating the miR-217/MAFB axis.: This research utilizes the BCG Albumin Assay Kit to quantitatively analyze albumin levels in studies of diabetic nephropathy. The results demonstrate the regulatory role of lncRNA on miR-217/MAFB axis, contributing significantly to the understanding and potential treatments of kidney fibrosis in diabetic patients (Song et al., 2019).
- Albumin depletion of human plasma also removes low abundance proteins including the cytokines.: This study employs the BCG Albumin Assay Kit to investigate the effects of albumin depletion in human plasma, specifically its impact on the presence of low abundance proteins such as cytokines. The findings are crucial for the refinement of proteomic analyses and understanding protein interactions in biological samples (Granger et al., 2005).

How is shipping temperature determined? And how is it related to the product storage temperature?
1 answer-
Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature. As shipping routes are configured for minimum transit times, shipping at ambient temperature helps control shipping costs for our customers. Has the kit been tested with baboon and porcine samples, or is the kit not species-specific?
1 answer-
The kit has been validated for use with multiple species, such as mice, rats, humans, sheep, macaques, and baboons. To date, there are no reports of its application in testing with pig samples. Details of its use in baboon studies have been documented; however, the specific reference has been removed as per the guidelines provided.

Is the standard curve for MAK124 BCG Albumin Assay Kit expected to be a curved or a straight line? Also, what are the typical absorbances for the curve?
1 answer-
As per the information, the curve requires a non-linear curve fit. For the data in the protocol sheet, a one-site binding hyperbola function in the program Graphpad Prism was used. It is uncertain whether this function is available in Excel. Typically, a standard curve will top out at around OD = 1, while the blank is around OD = 0.20. The 5 g/dL standard is simply 5% bovine serum albumin in solution and should not be traceable to another NIST standard.
