Application

A versatile solid medium for the differentiation of Eschericha coli and Aerobacter aerogenes, for identifcation of Candida albicans and for the identification of coagulase-positive Staphylococci.

Preparation Note

Suspend 37.5 g in 1 litre of distilled water. Bring to the boil to dissolve completely, sterilize by autoclaving at 121°C for 15 minutes. Cool to 60°C and shake the medium in order to oxidize the methylene blue and to suspend the precipitate.
