General description
• Synthetic type II diamond cell is excellent for making transmission samples
• Compresses materials such as polymers, powders, abrasive samples, cured paint, etc.
• Clear 1.5mm aperture produces good spectral resolution
• Cell is 9.5mm thick at the thickest point and 6mm in the center making it an ideal microscope stage
A sample is compressed between the diamond windows by turning thumbscrews on the face of the cell until the sample is thin enough for the beam of the spectrophotometer to penetrate. Use of the EZ-Squeeze is frequently enhanced by using the Mini-Plane tool (Z249556) listed separately to shave very thin samples off of substrates such as plastic items and painted objects.
