General description

Tetraalkylammonium carbonate, polymer-bound also known as MP-carbonate resin, is a strong basic macroporous anion-exchange polystyrene resin that is commonly used in solution phase peptide synthesis and resin-based purification techniques.

Application

Tetraalkylammonium carbonate, polymer-bound, is used as a solid support base in the solution phase parallel synthesis of amides to remove unwanted acidic by-products. It is used as a solid-phase base to neutralize the hydrobromide in the synthesis of syringolin B.
