It is stability tested for up to 14 days at ambient temperature. The product is expected to be placed at 2-8°C within 14 days of arrival. If the solution is stored at room temperature for 7 days, it should still be suitable for use. It is advisable to check specimens anticoagulated with 285-4 for signs of clumping or clotting. If any clumping or clotting is observed, the bottle kept at room temperature should be properly disposed of, and a fresh bottle should be ordered.
