Epoxy embedding medium is generally used for biological tissues during study by electron microscopy. Usually, it consists of three components; Epon 812 resin, an anhydride hardener and an accelerator.

Application

It was used during transmission electron microscopy done for the analysis of epithelial cells; during a study performed to understand the epithelial cell growth and stratification in minimal culture conditions.
