General description

Ascentis® Express PFAS is a high-speed, high-performance liquid chromatography column based on the proven Fused-Core® particle design. The Fused-Core® particle provides a thin porous shell of high-purity silica surrounding a solid silica core. This particle design exhibits very high column efficiency due to the shallow diffusion paths in the 0.5 μm thick porous shell and the small overall particle size of 2.7 μm. The densely bonded, extensively endcapped ODS stationary phase of Ascentis® Express PFAS provides an application tested solution for PFAS analysis.

Analysis Note

Target analytes include short chain and long chain per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), including branched and linear isomers.

LC-MS method separates 32 PFAS compounds in drinking water following EPA methods 533, 537, and 537.1. EPA 8327.

Liquid Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS) separation of 33 PFAS (Per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances) using a superficially porous silica particles (SPP) based Ascentis® Express C18 column.

Sensitive PFAS testing can be performed with ultrapure water from a Milli-Q® IQ 7 system, which eliminates detectable PFAS for reliable LC-MS/MS results. See the science, see the proof.
