Gene Information

human ... APOC3(345)

General description

The antibody pair provided in this kit recognizes Human Apolipoprotein C3.
ApoC-III is a glycoprotein that has 79 amino acids. It is coded by APOC3 gene. APOC3 is expressed in the liver and intestine. This gene is located on human chromosome 11.

Application

For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
Please refer to the attached General ELISA KIT Procedure (sandwich, competitive & Indirect ELISA)

Biochem/physiol Actions

Apolipoprotein C-III (APOC3) has the ability to prevent lipoprotein lipase (LPL) and hepatic lipase activity. It is considered as a major modulator of triglyceride metabolism.
