Rat Sprague-Dawley, primary endometrial, SV40 T antigen transformed
Cell Line Description
Derived from the endometrium tissue from the uterus of a 21-28 day-old Sprague-Dawley rat. The cells carry vimentin, CSF-1 (at 39°C), desmin, collagen type III and connexin 43 markers. The transforming agent is a ts mutant of SV 40 T-antigen (tsA58).
Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:3 i.e. seeding at 3x10,000 using 0.25% trypsin/EDTA; 5% CO2; 37°C. Doubling time 48 hours. Cells show continuous growth at 34°C and growth arrest at 39°C.
