Application

Peptidyl-L-lysine (-L-arginine) hydrolase
Use Carboxypeptidase B for the sequence analysis of proteins by successive cleavage of basic amino acids from the C-terminus of proteins.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Carboxypeptidase B is a Zn2+-metalloprotease, catalyzing the hydrolysis of the basic amino acids L-Lys and L-Arg from the C-terminal position in polypeptides.

Quality

Contaminants: Contaminants expressed as percentage of carboxypeptidase B activity.
Carboxypeptidase A ≤2%
Trypsin (with Chymotrypsin as substrate) ≤0.005 U/mg
