Antibodies againsy Hemoglobulin are routinely used in diagnostics to detect blood in fecal matter (Fecal Occult Blood Test) which is a commonly used test to screen colorectal cancer.
Specificity
Specific for Human hemoglobin. Negative for hemoglobin from pig, bovine, goat, sheep, horse, chicken, rabbit, etc
Immunogen
corresponding to Human Human hemoglobin.
