Interleukin-12 alpha (IL-12A) is also known as Cytotoxic lymphocyte maturation factor 35 kDa subunit (CLMF p35), IL-12 subunit p35, or NK cell stimulatory factor chain 1 (NKSF-1). IL-12A is a cytokine that, along with IL12B, forms a disulfide-linked heterodimer interleukin IL-12. IL-12 alpha functions as a regulator of T cell mediated cytotoxicity, interferon-gamma production, lymphocyte proliferation and activation of natural killer cells.
Specificity
This antibody recognizes the near C-terminus of IL-12 alpha
Immunogen
KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to the near C-terminus of human IL-12 alpha.
Application
Immunohistochemistry Analysis: A 1:16,000-32,000 dilution from a representative lot detected IL-12 alpha in human tonsil and human brain tissue.
This IL-12 alpha antibody is validated for use in WB & IHC for the detection of the IL-12 alpha protein.
Quality
Evaluated by Western Blotting in human lymph node tissue lysate.
Western Blotting Analysis: 0.2 µg/mL of this antibody detected IL-12 alpha in 10 µg of human lymph node tissue lysate.
