G-protein coupled receptor bonzo (BONZO), also known as C-X-C chemokine receptor type 6 (CXCR6,CXC-R6,CXCR-6), CDw186 (CD186), G-protein coupled receptor STRL33 (STRL33), and TYMSTR, is a receptor for the C-X-C chemokine CXCL16 and is shown to be used as a coreceptor by SIVs and by strains of HIV-2 and m-tropic HIV-1. Certain G protein-coupled receptors including CCR5, CXCR4, CCR3, and CCR2b have been identified as HIV coreceptors. BONZO is expressed in lymphoid tissues and activated T cells.
Specificity
This antibody recognizes the N-terminus of Bonzo.
Immunogen
KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to the N-terminus of human Bonzo.
Application
Detect CXCR6 using this rabbit polyclonal antibody, Anti-Bonzo Antibody validated for use in western blotting & IHC.
Immunohistochemistry Analysis: 20 µg/mL from a representative lot detected Bonzo in human spleen tissue.
Quality
Evaluated by Western Blotting/Peptide Inhibition Assay in human spleen tissue lysate.
Western Blotting/Peptide Inhibition Assay Analysis: 1 µg/mL of this antibody detected Bonzo in 15 µg of human spleen tissue lysate.
Target description
~45 kDa observed. Uncharacterized bands may appear in some lysate(s).
