General description
Tetrapropylammonium hydroxide (TPAOH) is a simple, affordable, and readily available quaternary ammonium base mainly utilized as a structure-directing agent for producing zeolites. It is found to be a good precursor to synthesis nanotubes. TPAOH is used as surface-active agent, phase transfer catalyst in organic synthesis.[1][2][3][4]
