Phosphatidylinositol 3,4-bisphosphate (PI(3,4)P2) is a signaling molecule, which might promote actin aggregation and neuritogenesis.[1] PI(3,4)P2 is associated with proteins and enzymes involved in signal transduction and the cytoskeleton. It is essential for the enzyme action of phospholipase D and ADP-ribosylation factor (ARF).[2]
