General description

N-Nitrosodimethylamine is a toxic type of N-nitrosamine, which can be commonly synthesized in vivo by intestinal microbiota type of microorganisms. It can undergo reduction to form dimethylamine using zero-valent metal ions like Fe and Zn in the presence of Cu(II) ions.
