Specificity

This antibody recognizes the CD55 antigen a 70 kDa glycoprotein also known as Decay Accelerating Factor (DAF). The antigen is present on erthrocytes and other circulating blood cells and also on cells in non-haemopoietic tissue particularly epithelium and endothelium. It is found specifically at the placental fetal-maternal interface.

Immunogen

Human fibroblast cell line

Application

Anti-CD55 Antibody, clone BRIC 216 is an antibody against CD55 for use in FC, IP, WB, IH, IH(P).

Oxidative stress is a major factor involved in retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) apoptosis that underlies AMD. Drusen, extracellular lipid- and protein-containing deposits, are strongly associated with the development of AMD. Cell-derived microparticles (MPs) are small membrane-bound vesicles shed from cells.

Our team of scientists has experience in all areas of research including Life Science, Material Science, Chemical Synthesis, Chromatography, Analytical and many others.
