General description

Lidocaine is a local anesthetic and antiarrhythmic drug. Lidocaine is often added to cocaine as a diluent. A Certified Snap-N-Spike® Solution for use in clinical toxicology, forensic analysis, urine drug testing, or pharmaceutical research applications by LC/MS or GC/MS.

Application

  • HPLC-MS/MS measurement of lidocaine in rat skin and plasma: A study utilized HPLC-MS/MS to measure Lidocaine concentrations in rat skin and plasma, demonstrating the method′s effectiveness for monitoring drug delivery from medicated plasters. This research supports the use of Lidocaine-D₁₀ as an internal standard for pharmacokinetic and bioanalytical assays, particularly in studies concerning topical anesthesia and pain relief applications (Matteo et al., 2020).
