Allgemeine Beschreibung

MO25 (mouse protein 25) is also termed calcium binding protein 39, CAB39 and CGI-66 is an Armadillo repeat domain scaffolding protein.
MO25 is a 40 kDa scaffolding protein that interacts with STRADα and LKB1 to regulate tumor suppression. MO25 activates LKB1 and also localizes LKB1 in the cytoplasm .

Spezifität

Anti-MO25 antibody is specific for MO25 in humans, rats and mice. In immunoblotting, staining of the MO25 band is specifically inhibited by the immunizing peptide.

Immunogen

synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 308-326 located near the C-terminus of human MO25. This sequence is identical in mouse, rat, dog, and bovine MO25.

Anwendung

Anti-MO25 antibody is suitable for use in western blot (0.5-1 μg/mL using HEK-293T cells expressing human MO25 and PC12 cell lysates).
Anti-MO25 antibody produced in rabbit has been used in western blotting.

Biochem./physiol. Wirkung

MO25 (mouse protein 25) binds to Liver kinase B1 (LKB1) and STE20-related kinase adaptor (STRAD) and activates LKB1 and anchors it in the cell cytosol. LKB1 is a key regulator of AMP activated protein kinase (AMPK), which is a master regulator of cellular energy.

Physikalische Form

Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, and 15 mM sodium azide.
