General description
- Konservierungsmittel: Die Fähigkeit von Formaldehyd, das Wachstum von Mikroorganismen zu hemmen, macht es zu einem wirksamen Mittel zur Konservierung biologischer Proben, das einen Abbau verhindert und ihre Integrität für weitere Analysen sicherstellt. Aufgrund dieser Eigenschaft ist es für die Verwendung im medizinischen Labor, in Museen und sogar in Einbalsamierungsflüssigkeiten geeignet.
- Fixiermittel: In der Histologie wirkt Formaldehyd als Fixiermittel, das Proteine quervernetzt und Gewebestrukturen für die mikroskopische Untersuchung konserviert. Somit lassen sich anatomische Details und zelluläre Komponenten mit bemerkenswerter Klarheit optisch darstellen.
- Denaturierungsmittel: In molekularbiologischen Techniken wie der Formaldehyd-Agarose-Gelelektrophorese denaturiert Formaldehyd RNA-Moleküle, verhindert dadurch die Bildung von Sekundärstrukturen und ermöglicht eine größenbasierte Trennung. How is shipping temperature determined? And how is it related to the product storage temperature?

Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature. As shipping routes are configured for minimum transit times, shipping at ambient temperature helps control shipping costs for our customers.
