Application

D-Fucose (6-deoxy-D-galactose, rhodeose) may be used to study enzymes involved in its mutarotation to form L-fucose.[1] It may be used as a reference compound in the analysis of carbohydrate metabolites. D-Fucose may be used to study biological processes such as adhesion.[2]
