Bupropion is an antidepressant and smoking cessation drug sold under the trade names Wellbutrin® and Zyban®.

  • Investigation of neurotoxic effects: Research on propofol′s potential neurotoxic impact on the hippocampus has deepened understanding of its effects on mitochondrial function. (Ebrahimi et al., 2024).

  • Development of nanoencapsulation techniques: Propofol is being researched for its encapsulation in nanocarriers to improve its delivery efficiency and reduce side effects.
