Biochem/physiol Actions

Eplerenone is an aldosterone antagonist more specific for the mineralocorticoid receptor than spironolactone (S3378), having lower affinity for progesterone, androgen, and glucocorticoid receptors.

Eplerenone is an aldosterone antagonist.
