General description

SPME fiber assembly Divinylbenzene/Carboxen/Polydimethylsiloxane (DVB/CAR/PDMS) manufactured with a flexible metal alloy used in the needle, plunger, and fiber core. The new metal alloy design includes a thicker, flexible plunger that is much less likely to kink or break, and helps to reinforce the needle especially when used in an auto-sampler with a sample agitator. Since the needle is more flexible and has a thinner wall than the standard stainless steel needle, a bevel has been placed on the needle to help it pierce septa materials more easily.
We are committed to bringing you greener alternative products, which adhere to one or more of The 12 Principles of Greener Chemistry. This is a Solid Phase Microextraction (SPME) technology product. SPME is one of the greener technologies for sample preparation as it is solvent free extraction technology and SPME fibres are re-usable and generates as little waste as possible, thus aligns with "Waste Prevention”, and ″Safer Solvents and Auxiliaries″. Application

  • Rapid headspace solid-phase microextraction-gas chromatographic-time-of-flight mass spectrometric method for qualitative profiling of ice wine volatile fraction. II: Classification of Canadian and Czech ice wines using statistical evaluation of the data: This study utilizes Divinylbenzene/Carboxen/Polydimethylsiloxane (DVB/CAR/PDMS) SPME fibers for rapid analysis of volatile compounds in ice wine, showcasing their application in qualitative profiling and classification based on geographic origin. This highlights the utility of DVB/CAR/PDMS fibers in analytical chemistry and environmental sampling, specifically in the food industry for quality control and authenticity verification (Setkova L, Risticevic S, Pawliszyn J, 2007).

Other Notes

Appearance may vary. Darker spots may be visible on the fiber but will not affect performance.
