    For the purpose of their intended use, these reference materials, when stored unopened in the sealed amber ampule, are stable indefinitely. However, once opened, the material should be transferred to a vial, septum sealed, and refrigerated (0-5°C). Improper storage will result in loss of volatile components over time.
