Description

General description

Interferon-γ (IFN-γ) is a type II pleiotropic cytokine[1][2] which is secreted by the thymus-derived (T) cells.[2] It participates in innate and adaptive immune responses. IFN-γ is involved in the functioning and maturation of several immune cells. It plays a role in the T-helper (Th1) immune response and regulates T cell activation, differentiation, homeostasis, and survival.[1] The antibody pair provided in this kit recognizes Rhesus IFN-γ.
